- Ioannis Kokkoris, «From a Banking to a Sovereign Crisis in Europe»
Professor Ioannis Kokkoris holds a Chair in Law and Economics at the University of Reading, where he teaches competition law and merger control. He is also the Executive Director of the Centre for Commercial Law and Financial Regulation (www.cclfr.com). Prior to that he was a Principal Case Officer/Economic Advisor at the Office of Fair Trading, UK where he dealt with leading cases such as NASDAQ/LSE and NYSE/Euronext, and he was a member of the drafting team of the UK Merger Guidelines. He has worked at the DG Competition European Commission, as well as the US Federal Trade Commission. He has published more than 12 books and 45 articles.
- Marina Arksenova, International Criminal Law
Researcher/PhD Candidate in complicity issues in international criminal law at the European University Institute. She has worked as a legal assistant for the defense International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, as Associate of the Arbitration and Litigation Department at White & Case, Moscow and as a Legal intern at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
– Yaroslav Shiryaev: Cyberterrorism
PhD in International Law at Warwick University, Associate counsel at Hyde and Associate, Director of the International Research Center for Legal Solution. He specializes in Cyber-Attacks and Cyberterrorism and is a Lecturer of International Criminal Law and International Humanitarian Law at the University of Warwick.

Specialist in international commercial law, foreign direct investment, contracts, M&A, telecommunication law, economic regulation, free trade agreements, European Union and German law. Among his studies: Università degli Studi di Siena, Italy (Master course in political science, 1997-1998); University of Washington (Visiting Scholar, 2001-2002); Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität Frankfurt/Main (Doctorate degree; thesis on U.S. administrative law, especially telecommunications and media law, 2004)
– José Antonio Rivas: “State defenses in international investment arbitration”.
José Antonio Rivas brings experience from government in Latin America in solving complaints and disputes submitted by foreign investors, as well as from the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) where he served as Counsel. Mr. Rivas currently defends Latin American States in international investment arbitration before ICSID, and in commercial arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He represents a private party from Asia in a breach of contract case before the ICC. He has been part of Arnold & Porter’s representation of clients in arbitrations involving investment treaties between States in North America, Latin America, Europe and Africa, related to mining services, the energy sector, the health care provider industry, and road and railway concessions.
